Pastor Jeffrey Williams

Pastor Jeffrey Williams is a renaissance man in his own right. He is one who is knowledgeable and well-versed in the word of God and church administration.  He has served many years in the Church of God In Christ and received his formal education from Victory University. He has a rich family heritage invested in this particular church and was born to lead it. Pastor Williams is one likened to that of King David, “a man after God’s own heart” (Acts:13:22).

 

Throughout the years Pastor Williams has given decades of service to Tuckers Temple Church of  God in Christ. He has served 21 years as Minister of music, 14 years as an ordained Elder, and 12 years as a Sunday School ,Bible Study and YPWW teacher. He also currently serves as Minister of Music for the Good Shepherd District (Memphis, TN) and Minister of Music for the Tennessee Headquarters Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ.

 

He's the Founder and director of the national recording gospel choir Jeffrey Williams and the Voices of Inspiration. To date, this group has recorded and produced three full length albums; the most recent being... After The Song. Over the years he has received several accolades. He was the first recipient of the Gospel Academy Awards scholarship (1991). He along with his choir were the 2005 Gospel Bridge Award winners for CD of the year. That same year they were also nominated in the following catagories: Song of the Year, Best Community Choir, and Best Director. They also won the 2016 Showtime Gospel Entertaiment Award for Artist of the Year.  Pastor Williams has performed and shared the stage with other renowned gospel artists like James Fortune, Dr. Bobby Jones, Marvin Sapp, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, John P. Kee, and Beverly Crawford.

 

​Most recently, Pastor Williams produced and recorded a cd with the Tennessee Headquaters Music Dept. He was also the recipient of the 2017 Citizens for A Better Service Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. award for Pastor of the Year.

 

​In addition to the many accolades, Pastor Williams life goals are to win souls for Christ, encourage the hopeless and put bricks and mortar on the foundation that was laid before him, leaving it better than he received it, to pass on to upcoming generations . Lastly, he wants to hear the Lord say , "well done, thy good and faithful servant.
